More Information
The Career Clarity Program is an extension of your philosophy: Self-discovery, authenticity, exploration, ideals and values blended with workplace realities.
You choose the coaching format that works best for you and your clients. You may use this program in teleclasses, one-on-one sessions by phone or in person, workshops, retreats, support groups and any hybrid combination of these formats.
During
the first four steps of the program, you coach clients
through a series of activities that help them understand
their own personal style. The goal is not
to find an answer but to gather as much information
about their ideals, wants, needs, passions and interests
as possible. The activities are organized around the
following topics.
|
1. Where Are You Today? |
2A. You!
2B. Your Life |
3. Your Work Environment |
4. Your Passions and Interests |
Your ability to ask powerful questions, help
clients get beyond their limited
thinking, and encourage them to think bigger
than usual is crucial
during this phase.
|
In
the second phase, your role changes slightly. In
addition to facilitating your clients through a powerful
brainstorming activity that results in two or three
viable career ideas, you help your clients investigate
their ideas and use their discoveries to refine their
goals. During the last step of the program, your clients
put their plan into action. Some clients may focus
on finding a job or refining the one they have, while
others may start or modify their business or begin
a training program to enhance their skills.
|
5: Brainstorm New Career Options |
6: Investigate Your Options |
7: Refine Your Options |
8. Take Action on Your Options |
Your ability to help your clients use their
passions and interests to brainstorm potential careers
is crucial. In addition, you help them stay
focused and create innovative solutions that allow them
create the work and life they want.
